The Asian & Pacific Cultural Center (APCC) was established in Fall 2021. Nathan Nguyen, its inaugural program director, was hired in October 2021 to begin the development of a center dedicated to Asian & Pacific Islander student success at ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ.
The Asian & Pacific Cultural Center began providing in-person programs and services in Spring 2022. In Fall 2022, through student activism and conversations with campus leaders, a temporary space in WH 250 was designated for our center. In Spring 2023, we opened our doors to students and the campus community.
Today, the Asian & Pacific Cultural Center is the cultural home for API students at ÀóÖ¦ÊÓƵ where community, belonging, learning, and engagement are instruments toward personal, academic, and professional success of API students. We support API student success by targeting three areas: 1) cultural-well-being, 2) social-emotional well-being, 3) academic/professional well-being. While our mission centers API student success, all of our programming and activities are open to all students who wish to participate.Ìý
