Vida Mofidi is a senior public health microbiologist and educator with over 28 years of experience in clinical microbiology, infectious disease diagnostics, public health laboratory practice, and university-level instruction. She currently serves as aÌýSenior Public Health MicrobiologistÌýserving the Orange County community, and asÌýPart-Time FacultyÌýat CSU Dominguez Hills, where she teaches and develops curriculum for the Medical Parasitology Laboratory course.
Her areas of expertise and academic interest include parasitology, diagnostic microbiology, antimicrobial resistance, infectious disease epidemiology, biosafety, and applied public health laboratory methods. Vida holds aÌýMaster of Public Health (MPH), aÌýBachelor of Science in Microbiology, and professional credentials includingÌýPHM and M(ASCP)CM. She has extensive experience training laboratory professionals, leading microbial identification initiatives, and integrating emerging technologies into public health laboratory workflows.
