Professional Background
Sonja Ulrich is an applied anthropologist with research in medical anthropology among rural residents in Chiapas, Mexico which yielded a published thesis(Health Care Seeking Behavior in Rural Soconusco of Chiapas, Mexico). As a cult survivor, her experience led to teaching a psychological anthropology at ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ and her publishing a reader, Introduction to Psychological Anthropology.Ìý
As an alumna if ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ, she is passionate about teaching for the Anthropology and Behavior Science Departments at ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ with a focus on mixed methods research. In addition, she has led study abroad classes in Bulgaria teaching folklore and cultural anthropology through CSUHD's study abroad program.
