Supply chain management is the centralized management of the flow of goods and services to and from a company and includes all of the processes involved in transforming raw materials and components into final products.
The Certificate in Supply Chain Management offers supply chain management training classes online and at company-sponsored sites.

What the Program Covers
Using curriculum developed using the Institute for Supply Chain Management (ISM) certification program for the supply chain manager and the American Society for Quality (ASQ) certified supply chain quality profession bodies of knowledge (BOK), the program prepares students for employment in aerospace, electronics, military, hospitals, retail, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and small businesses. The program is taught online and provides three units of extension credit for each course completed.
Course topics include: material requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, inventory management, supplier coordination, procurement, operations execution and control, risk assessment, negotiations, quality process improvement, lean, master planning of resources, master scheduling of resources, strategic management of resources, and integrating supply chain processes into the strategic plan.

Students who complete the Supply Chain Management Certificate program will be able to:
Explain the flow of a product from the supplier to the manufacturer through the distribution system to the customer
Identify the techniques for operations to determine process performance, assess risk, and assure effective human interactions associated in manufacturing processes
Participate in various cross-functional internal teams supporting the company's strategic plan

Certificate Requirements
No application is required for entering the certificate program. To earn the certificate, you must complete each of thefivecourses offered with a grade of "C" or better.The certificate must be completed within three years once the student has started the program.
